Terence was the national General Secretary for the Uniting Church in Australia for 15 years. He ran many large national meetings that used consensus based discernment processes. Terence has consulted with the World Communion of Reformed Churches, the World Methodist Council and the United Methodist Church (USA) on alternative business procedures. Terence is an accredited mediator and works in conflict interventions with local churches.

Julia is a layperson in the United Methodist Church who has served on the staff of the (Global) General Board of Discipleship based in Nashville Tennessee. Her areas of expertise include: mediating disputes, assessing Congregational vitality, transforming conflict, and leading strategic change and visioning. Julia is a sought after Keynote speaker, facilitator and consultant.

Together they wrote The Church Guide For Making Decisions Together (Abingdon, May 2017).
